Returns and Exchanges
REFUNDS AND RETURNS POLICY
At The Saree Shop if you're not happy, we're not happy, so if you don't love what you've ordered, we'll gladly take it back and provide you with a full refund (less shipping, handling and administration costs) as long as it complies with these simple guidelines.
- Items to be exchanged or refunded must be returned within 7 business days of the shipment date. Items received after this period will not be exchanged or refunded.
- Returned items will be shipped at your cost.
- A handling and administration fee of 15% of the original invoiced item costs, will be retained and deducted from the amounts to be refunded. This fee is required, to cover our labour and processing costs. This fee applies to both exchanges and refunds.
- The original shipping costs will not be refunded.
- You must provide us with an invoice as proof of purchase of the returned product (include a copy of the invoice in your return package).
- Items must be unwashed, unworn and in its original folded showroom state.
- Items must be shipped in the original brand packaging.
- All Jewelry and Leggings cannot be returned due to health precautions.
- Clearance and discontinued items cannot be returned.
- Gifts with purchase are yours to keep and cannot be returned.
- All items are thoroughly inspected prior to shipping for defects. Items which are inspected by us and found to have been damaged after shipping cannot be returned and refunded.
- The Saree Shop reserve the right to refuse any return and refund if the above policies are breached.
Note that every return is subject to thorough inspection, as product quality is super important to us.
The Saree Shop really cares about your safety, so we abide by all health code regulations clothing retail best practices. This means returns that don't pass our quality control inspection will not be refunded.
How long does it take? We don't like to keep you waiting, so we process your return as fast as we can and follow up with a friendly confirmation email. The whole process takes approximately 14 business days, once we have received your return shipment. All refunds will be credited using the original payment method. We will send you a friendly email to advise you on the completion of our product inspection or completion of the refund process.
Shipping Fees: In order to provide the free shipping you know and love, we leave return shipping costs up to you, but nowadays it's cheap and easy. Additional customs fees may apply for international exchange orders.
How To Return or Exchange Your Purchase:
- Please follow these steps to successfully return your purchase:

- Enclose a copy of your the invoice as a proof of purchase.
- Make the items look like new. This means putting them back into the original brand packaging in which they were received, not the box or bag the items were shipped in.
- Return in sturdy, durable packaging, like padded envelopes or boxes similar to how the items were sent, as we are not responsible for any damage products incur in transit back to us.
- To ensure the package arrives safely back to us and that you are credited, please use a pre-paid, insured and trackable method of delivery, such as Australia Post, UPS, FedEx or certified mail, and save all receipts and documents that may be used to track the delivery.
- Using a priority service is helpful to ensure you get the returned product back to us quickly to avoid breaching the exchange and refund policy period of 7 business days.

Tips for Returns:
- Don't try your new items on while wearing perfume and deodorant. This will keep them like new to ensure they remain returnable.
- Don’t drape or tie your sarees prior to performing and inspection to your satisfaction.
- Don’t wash or iron any clothing products or sarees prior to performing and inspection to your satisfaction.
